Jesus is the Prince of Peace

Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace

One of the most important personalities of Jesus Christ is His ability to change the atmosphere and connect those around Him to something greater than them. The world that Jesus grew up in was a very different world from the one that we live in. Some of the disciples that Jesus called into His ministry such as Peter, Matthew, John and even Paul were all established men in their respective fields but they followed Jesus because He somehow carried peace with.

Prince of peace

Peter was in the fishing business, but the Bible says he had toiled all night and caught nothing. The best the world will offer you is empty toiling. It will entice you will money, fame and riches and take away your peace. This is the reason the Bible says

“the blessings of the Lord maketh rich and He adds no toil with it” – Proverbs 10:22.

Whenever you find yourself toiling or living a life of worries and fear, it is the evidence that Christ is not in that which you are doing. I don’t mind walking away from business opportunities that will give me riches and rob me of my peace.

The peace of God is so powerful that worry is the outward appearance that you have no faith. Peace is the outward evidence that you have put your trust in God and have faith in Him. This is why I can sleep calmly at night knowing that angels are around me and the Prince of Peace is there to protect me and usher me into a new day.

Prayer:

Father, I am living a blessed life free from toil and worries. I trust in your peace that surpasses the understanding of men and women of this world. Your word is forever settled in heaven. I pursue peace and I discipline myself to live a worry-free life. I rest because my trust is firmly grounded and rooted in you in the mighty name of Jesus.

Shalom shalom!!!
