Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah Lord GOD! behold, you have made the heaven and the earth by your great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for you.”
As humans, it is very difficult to articulate who God is and what he is able to do in human terms. The human vocabulary does not have sufficient words in which we could use to describe the all-powerful God. I am certain that the primary reason that the Holy Spirit was sent to the earth was to help us in our weakness in comprehending the majesty and splendour of God. If someone asked me to explain to them what I mean when I say God is almighty, there are no words that I can use to explain this completely because there is no human being that is on this earth that is almighty. The God that we serve does not need a support system outside of himself to do anything. He does not need permission from none and he does not need to do anything at any time because He has time within Him.
We see the Prophet Jeremiah articulating this in Jeremiah 32:17. This Bible verse says that God created the heavens and the earth by His outstretched arm and His great power. In our English Bible, this next phrase reads “…there is nothing too hard for you.” In the original Hebrew text it does not say “too hard”. The Hebrew word used here is “יפלא – pronounced iphla” which mean marvellous or difficult. However, in this portion of the Bible, the word “iphla” is described as “marvellous”.
This means there is nothing that is marvellous that would cause God to panic or be confused. The Bible says God created the heavens and the earth by his outstretched arm and mighty power. God does not think of a solution because He creates the solutions to your problems before they ever arise. Our God is not moved by the size of your dreams because there is nothing that is “iphla” for Him to do. You may be praying and asking God for 1 million US$ but to Him that is so tiny and He is expecting you to be asking for hundreds of billions of US$. There is no amount of money that you will ask God that will cause Him to say “where will I have that kind of money”? The only limitation that God has is the one that you have placed on Him. Let me ask you a question, how much is too big for God? How many bedroom house is too much for God? What make of car is too expensive for God?
Mark 9:23-25 Jesus said to him, “if you can, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father cried out and said, “I do believe; help my unbelief
Do you know that it is unbelief when we limit God’s power? This is why the father whose son had a seizure came to Jesus and said “Lord I believe; help my unbelief”.
Father, I will forever trust in your word that says all things are possible to those who believe. I see opportunities when others see challenges. I walk in victory when others are languishing in failure. I am not moved by what I see because I serve a God does not marvel. I see your outstretched arm in my life working great miracles. I receive mansions on thousands of hectares of land. I see jet planes lined up in my own runaway as I crisscross the world to preach your gospel in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Keep rolling with Jesus,
