Your dreams are not dead, they are alive

This Easter season brings us to a very powerful teaching that Jesus taught His disciples. I believe these were one of the most difficult words that Jesus had to say to His disciples.

Mark 8:31  –  He then began to teach them that “the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and after three days rise again”.

You would remember that Jesus scolded Peter for doubting Him when Peter walked on water and, later on, started drowning.

Jesus also performed great miracles in the eyes of His disciples as well as fed thousands of people that the disciples marvelled. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. This tore the entire village into two. Jesus had reached the pinnacle or the prime of His ministry. He surpassed what Moses did and He overturned the Roman government. Famous Rabbis in Jesus’ day such as Nicodemus had to sneak in the middle of the night to inquire from Him how He performed His miracles.

Despite all of the above, Jesus lays down His master plan. This did not sit well with His disciples. This plan had a clause and that clause was “be killed”. It is not a word that would come out of the mouth of Jesus. It did not sound like Jesus. But Jesus had to teach this lesson to His disciples. Here is the lesson that I would share with you. Sometimes your career or your business can be excelling. You might have reached the pinnacle of your marriage. Your family might have reached the top of what you aspired, but…., but God allows certain things to happen that you think will kill your dreams. These things may bring financial setbacks, marital destruction or even pain. But here is the good part,

it shall rise again. Hallelujah!

I prophecy to you:

Tell your enemies, that you are just going through a transition phase. After the dust has settled and the drums of war have silenced; you shall be left standing. It is not over for your business. It is not over for your career. It is not over for your marriage. That husband that you have been crying for is praying his way into your life right now. Your future wife is fasting her way into your life right now. This is the season of the resurrection; your destiny is sealed in heaven and no one on earth can change it.

Expect the best this Easter,

Jesus is ALIVE!
