The first time I travelled to a country with cars that had steering wheels on the left side, it was a frightening sight for me. In my country of origin, I was only familiar with vehicles that had the right hand driving positions.
I could not get to convince myself that it was possible to drive on the left side of the road. It was risky when I imagined drivers using their left hand to drive while their right hand was for changing the gear of their cars.
This continued until I decided to try it. At this point in my life. I already had a driver’s license and I had been driving on the right side for more than five years. However, I had never driven on the left side of the road.
On my first trial, it was fascinating to realise how easy it was to adapt. I quickly adapted and I drove smoothly with no incidence. I discovered that the fear that I had was only a mirage; it was not real. Here is what the Bible says:
Isaiah 30:21 Whether you turn to the right or to the left, you will hear a voice saying, “This is the road! Now follow it”
This is the same with our loves. Sometimes we are scared to try new things because of what others said or due to what we saw; but the moment you step out and face your fears, you will begin to discover how easy the task was.
The scripture passages above says when we miss our way because of one reason or the other, we will hear a voice inside us saying, “This is the road! Now follow it”. Some of us want to hear the voice before we follow. But the Bible says this voice only comes when we start to move. This voice speaks when you launch out. You will not hear the voice if you are still planning. This voice does speak if you are contemplating. This voice speaks when we move. Wisdom is acting on your plan and believing in your heart that God’s voice will guide you.
May the wisdom of God overtake you this month in the name of Jesus.
Father, I thank you for your wisdom. I trust your voice that speaks and will always be there to guide me. I am more than determined to launch out today and accomplish all that you have planned for me in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen
