We are not serving a man-made god; the God we serve is not an idea or a force; He is the centre of creation. He is also known as the Lord of the harvest. This is His office; He has been given the responsibility of bringing forth the harvest.
Matthew 9:37-38 “Then He said to His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He will send out laborers into His harvest.”
The word Lord is derived from the Greek word “kurios” which means “master”. Jesus is the master; He controls the harvest, He decides the quantity and the quality of the harvest. This is why we speak about restoring the harvest.
The text for today says that we must pray for this Lord of harvest to send labourers into the field. This may sound nice and polite in the English language. But when we read it in the original Greek version; it says that we should pray to the Lord of harvest to eject labourers in the field. The word “send” used in this text is the Greek word “ekballo” which means to eject or to drive out. This is a season where the Lord will send us labourers into the field to harvest the fruits of righteousness.
Father; I pray that you drive out labourers into the harvest field today to harvest the fruits of your labour. It is time for the harvest to come and we are ready for this harvest today in the name of Jesus Amen.
