It is time to come up and be seated. As a believer, you live in two realms at the same time. This is what the Bible says:
Ephesians 2:5-7 “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace you are saved 😉 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.”
There are various kinds of Christians in the world today. I have met some Christians who are so focused on the birth of Christ; according to them, Jesus is still the little baby in the manger. With this group of Christians, their best period is the Christmas season.
There is another group of Christians who preach the cross. I remember at one time I was invited to watch a movie on the sufferings of Jesus on the cross. They are cross minded, all they see is Jesus nailed to the cross; they carry the cross on their necks and place it in their homes. This category of Christians are often crossed with people who do not want to talk about the cross.
Some other group of Christians have passed the birth, passed the cross and they have come to Pentecost. All they preach is the Pentecost; they even call themselves the “Pentecostals”. I always like to remind people that Pentecost was not actually a feast for Christians, it was just a 50th-anniversary celebration for the Jews and Pentecostals did not experience Holy Spirit because they were outside; it was the Christians that did.
There is the last group of Christian which I identify with. We are the new creations (2Cor5:17). We are the ones who are conscious of our place in Christ. We are seated in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. I invite you to come up and be seated with us today.
Dear Father, I thank you for my position in Christ Jesus. I am presently seated with Christ in the heavenly places in the name of Jesus. Amen.
