What story are you writing about your life?

It took me a long time as a believer to understand the power of the decisions that I make day after day, event after event and season after season. Someone said you are a decision away from the greatest miracle in your life. I finally got this revelation while studying the word of God.

Jesus had control of the story of His life. He knew that thousands of years down the road, we will be reading about His life. Every decision that He took was geared towards His story. The Bible says these things were written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God.

John 20:30-31 “Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book. But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.

When I reflect on my life, I discovered that it is the sum total of the events that have occurred over time.

The events that occurred to me are a sum total of decisions that I took.

Here is what I discovered, most of the decisions that I took occurred in moments of strong emotions. I took certain decisions while I was very happy. Others were taken while I wasn’t happy. I made a good number of decisions under pressures and tough deadlines. I discovered that the enemy is a master of creating an environment of pressure. The devil knows he cannot change your decision; so what he does is that he creates a pressured environment or he sends someone to come and curse you, upset you, in order for you to make a bad decision. This is what has destroyed the dreams and aspiration of many believers. One bad decision taken while you were upset may be the thing that damaged your job, which affected your career story. May be your marital journey is nothing to write home about because of a bad decision which you took in selecting a spouse. This is why it is important to choose wisely not rightly. The right thing is not always the wise thing. The Bible says there is a way that seems right to a man/woman, but the end of it is death

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Let me explain what this portion of the Bible is saying. This is one of the keys to living a fruitful life. This is not even about religion or Christianity. This is the secret of life and the pillar on which life is anchored on. What does this mean?

This is what it means. This verse of scripture is saying that:

sin will bait you and keep baiting you to the edge. However, when you fall over the edge, sin will mock you and laugh at you.

Let me give an illustration of this, some of your friends will be happy to drink alcohol and waste your life to the point that you have no money left with you. When you get to the point where you are broke and helpless, they will mock you and laugh at you. Drinking alcohol and having late night parties may seem right, but the end of it is that everyone will reject you and mock you when you are left with nothing (death). The world wants you to cheat and live a dishonest life. However, if you are caught, arrested and put in jail, the world will laugh at you and mock you.

Let me help you make wise decisions and live a fruitful life.
