You have dominion over the “things” of this earth

I have been meditating on the theme – Dominion – for a long time now. I asked the Lord to give me revelation regarding the prophetic word of this month and I have been fascinated by how much has been revealed to me through the Holy Spirit. It is important that we understand the power that we have and the domain in which we have been given this power. If you and I do not understand the power that we have in Christ, we might become victims in life.

There is a powerful lesson in the Bible about our dominion that every believer needs to understand. Jesus and His disciples set sail to preach the gospel on a certain day. In the midst of their sail, a storm arose and there was nowhere to anchor their boat. The disciples of Jesus tried all that they knew as experienced fishermen, but their boat was sinking. Peter ran to Jesus and found Him asleep on a pillow. He asked Him “master, don’t you mind that we perish?” Peter was asking Jesus why He didn’t care that the boat was sinking. The Bible says Jesus woke up and rebuked and winds and the waves and commanded them to calm down and the storm stopped.

Mark 3:38-39 “And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say to him, Master, care you not that we perish? Then Jesus got up and rebuked the wind and the sea. “Silence!” He commanded. “Be still!” And the wind died down, and it was perfectly calm.”

When you know that you have dominion, things that cause others to panic and tremble shall not move you. Jesus understood that He had dominion over the seas and the waves. He knew that as long as He was on that boat and in that storm, nothing would happen without His permission.

There is a lesson in this portion of scripture for you and I. The first thing that Jesus did was to rebuke the wind and the sea. He sternly told them to stop. Mark records that Jesus got up and rebuked the sea and the wind by commanding them saying “Silence!”. He knew that His dominion was not over the disciples or the people around him. His dominion was over the things that God had created before He created man. If Jesus did not understand His dominion over the things of the earth, they would have perished in the sea.

I don’t know your situation, but I assure you; if you would get up and tell that poverty “Silence!”, it will bow to you. If you can tell that disappointed “Be quiet!”, it will shut up and never come back again. Jesus knew that He was not fighting with flesh and blood. His dominion was over the things that cause men/women to panic. You might have received a terrible letter from the Doctor and they have told you that you have just a few days to live. I command that sickness to die right now. I speak to that fear to be silent right now. Maybe there is hatred against you at your office, instead of fighting with people and gossiping about them, get into your room and command that hatred to shut-up!

Join me in this prayer right now. Claim every word in it as yours and receive it now.

Pray aloud:

Father, I am destined for greatness this week. I can see myself flourishing every day. Jesus as Jesus calmed the winds and the waves, I cal every weapon that the enemy has mounted to stop me from my progress. I speak to lack and I say be silent! I speak to disappointment and I say “Be quiet!”. I command sickness to go away right now. I command setback to get out from my way. I am on a course to establish the kingdom of God in the hearts of men and women around the world in the name of Jesus. Amen.

If you have prayed this prayer, write to us and we will pray for you and send you materials that will bless you.
