My youth is yours

Life on earth is a series of opportunities. Thos who succeed are the ones who have taken advantage of the opportunities that were presented to them. Those who fail in life are those who have missed the opportunities that were presented to them in life.

The question that you need to ask yourself is whether you want to continue living the life that was given to you by your culture, your family background and your school or you want to live the life that you dreamed of. You cannot live beyond what you have been taught. You are as prosperous as your knowledge of prosperity and you are as blessed as your knowledge of blessings can take you.

The enemy is after your youth. The best days of your life are the days of your youth. Your youth determines the foundation of your life because this is the phase of your life with the most strength. As a young man, I have decided to build my life on the word of God and take advantage of every opportunity that God has presented to me. I know that the enemy is trying to distract me and create confusion, but as I keep my gaze on the word of God and His promises in my life, my destiny is sure.

Ecclesiastes 12:1
“Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them.”

As a youth, you should remember the Lord who created you. You should be inspired and thrilled by the fact that God has granted you a unique opportunity and strength to go around the world and tell everyone about Jesus. It is the best season of your life and you should not let your job or the pursuit of money distract you from the One who has the rainbow wrapped around his shoulder.

1 Timothy 4:12  “Let no man despise your youth; but be an example of the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity”.

01. My youth.jpgPaul told Timothy that he should not allow people to look down on him because he was a young preacher. Don’t allow others to take advantage of you because you are young. The Bible says you should have an exemplary character.

I remember when I attended my first Board of Directors meeting at a huge railway company in Cameroon called Camrail. It was the first time for me to stand in front of CEOs and government ministers to present an audit report. I was very young then and didn’t know what to do. But I remember something remarkable from the word of God. It says God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). I gathered myself together and boldly presented the financial report of the railway. I had a few questions which the Financial Director answered and clarified areas of doubt. This left a lasting impression on me and gave me the boost to become and established auditor.

Join me in this prayer right now. Claim every word in it as yours and receive it now.

Pray aloud:

Father, my youth is yours. Take my life and my days and consecrate it unto thee. Take my hands and my feet and let me go where you show me. Save me from those who are trying to despise my youth and give me the courage to overcome every obstacle that is set before me in the name of Jesus. Amen.
