The story of salvation is the greatest and most powerful love story every told. Hard hearts melt and mountains are brought low as they listen to this story.
I turned on the internet and I watched a young Pastor by the name of Dharius Daniels who expounded on salvation in such a powerful way that it captivated my attention. The story of salvation is the greatest and most compelling stories ever told. This story has the power to break through walls and bring men and women to their knees.
So what is salvation? Salvation is a story about a loving Father who happens to be a righteous judge over His children. Sin is debt that you and I owed to God which had to be paid. Since God is a righteous God, man was supposed to be sentenced for the sin; but as a loving Father, God couldn’t destroy that which He loved. Whatever man had to pay for his debt was not good enough. Angels couldn’t also assist man because God is a jealous God and would not allow angels to take the credit.
God then asked Jesus if He could help him? Jesus agreed and emptied Himself of divinity, he took the human nature and was sent into the world to be wrapped into the womb of a virgin by name Mary. In saving you and me from the pit of hell, God needed someone who was man enough to owe the debt of sin and was God enough to pay the debt. This was the same picture that John had when he wrote in the 16th and 17th verse of the 3rd chapter of John; stating
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
Jesus came to wipe away any evidence of sin in your life and to break the curse that the enemy had placed over you. God confirmed this by publicly speaking from heaven regarding Jesus.
Matthew 3:17: “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased”.
Join me as I pray for you right now.
Father, I thank you for erasing any evidence of the curse from my life and presenting me as a glorious Church. I have been recreated in the image of your dear son and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Failure is a thing of the past because the greater one lives in me. Fill me with joy today as I praise you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
