Cast all your burdens unto Jesus

There is no need taking on an extra burden when you can place that burden on Jesus today for He cares for you.

I went to the shop yesterday and I saw an area that was taped out with a Police line tape. We all know that this Police line tape shows that something terrible happened. I inquired from the neighbours and other security officials and I learned that someone committed suicide by jumping from a high story building and fell down. I paused for a moment to think about all that is going on in our world and noted that life can sometimes hit people very hard.

If we look at our world today, we get hit by stories of joblessness, corruption, racism, political and social unrests and the list goes on. It does seem to me that humans are like little microcosms of these global events. Most people don’t really get stressed by a flood or a major national crisis; most people are hit very hard by the daily nine to five jobs.

I want to speak to someone right now. It seems as if the whole building of your life is giving in and around your ears, you’re in an absolute disaster. I wonder if that is you this morning? I have good news for you. Jesus is inviting you to come to Him and He will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28: Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

I may not know exactly how He is going to do it, but there is one thing that I know for sure, He is not a man that He would lie. He has never made a promise that He could not keep and there is nothing too hard for Him to do.

Your life may look dark and gloomy right now but I have good news for you, there is a turnaround that is coming your way. There is a 24hrs miracle that the Lord is about to perform in your life. God is not done with you yet. There is still more that He has planned for you. Don’t focus on your current predicament, look to Jesus, He is the provider and the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Join me as I pray for you right now.

Pray aloud:

Father, I pray for someone out there that has been going through tough times this year. I pray for those who have been hit one way or another by adverse life events. You are the God of second chances. There  is nothing lacking and nothing broken in Your Kingdom. I pray that you supply the needs of anyone reading this daily devotional right now in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
