If you lose your job, you may apply for a new one… but if you lose your family, you may never find it again.
A prominent speaker once said that life is like a man holding a tennis ball on one hand and an egg on the other hand. If he drops the tennis ball, it will bounce back to him but if he drops the egg, it will break. The egg here represents your family while the tennis ball represents your job. As a symphony has many chords that need to be played in an orderly manner to create a beautiful harmony, so is life. It must be balanced and synchronized to create a beautiful harmony. Here is what the Bible says:
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Live your life without pressures and anxiety. Always give thanks to God for small victories. Remember, He who watches over you does not sleep or slumber. He watches over you night and day. Nurture strength and work hard to make your marriage work. Be determined to create an atmosphere of love in your home. Be quick to forgive and gracefully appreciate one another as you see the day approaching. You might not know what tomorrow holds but that should not stop you from living the moment. Now is the time to get it right and be the best you can ever be. Let the word of God rule your home and your life. As you prepare to get married or renew your vows, prayerfully consider the grace of love. Let the love of God fill your heart and may it reverberate in your office, your home and your city.
Father, I thank you for the gift of love that you have lavishly supplied to me. I am making great strides and doing great exploits. My family is protected and shielded by your love. Grant us the courage to keep breaking boundaries in Jesus’ name. Amen.
