Faith is our freedom

So many people all around the world today are seeking for freedom. Many have been jailed because they fought for freedom; many are on the run because they are seeking for freedom. It is common to meet teens who have abandoned their parents and moved elsewhere seeking for freedom. I have good news for you today; your faith is your freedom.

The Bible says the wicked run when no one pursues them (Proverbs 28:1).

The wicked or the unbeliever is constantly on the run. As a child of God do not imitate them or act like them, walk in the newness of life.

The Bible says in our opening verse that God is able to justify the wicked or the unbeliever.

But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness (Romans 4:5)

The word here used to describe justify is the Greek word “dikaiōsis”, this means “to declare someone righteous for a good deed, without fault and to set him free with compensation”.

Let me illustrate what “dikaiosis” means; imagine walking by the road and watched a car about to hit a little boy, you rushed to the scene and rescued the child, saving his/her life. When the parents find out how you saved their son’s life, instead of thanking you, they arrest you and throw you up in prison. If “dikaiosis” is exercised, the judge will acquit you not only due to the fact that you did not commit a crime, but he must acquit you because “you were a good man” and the parents who locked you up in jail must pay you for the damages and any loss you suffered.

This is what Jesus did when He was raised from the dead. The Bible declares that He was raised for our justification or “dikaiōsis” (Rom 4:25). He was raised to set you and me free and to pay back damages that you and your grandparents unjustly suffered. When you access this revelation by faith, you will be free from cancer, you will be free from poverty. Sicknesses and diseases shall never remain in your body. You have been justified and set free.

Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for setting me free. I am a faith child of a faith God. I use my faith to access my freedom in Christ. The power and the authority to cast out demons is mine today in Jesus name.
